Both the Bagster and Dumpster will help you declutter your home! Both of these debris removal devices have there pros and cons. Before you purchase either product do you homework as to what will work for your next debris or junk removal project.

What is the Bagster ?

The Bagster is a heavy duty bag like product with soft collapsible walls that makes it hard to fill properly. It is  offered in Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Osprey, Venice, Englewood and North Port for junk removal of up to 3 Cubic Yards ( or about the size of 1 pick up truck bed). Customers purchase this bag at a local big box stores such as Lowes or Home Depot. The bag is then filled with your debris to be removed. Once you are completed with your project, The manufacturing company must be called to schedule a pick up. The Bagster pick up is NOT free in the Sarasota or Manatee county areas.

You must ensure that the dumpster bag is placed within sixteen ft of the curb or street side so the truck hauler can access the bag with its mechanical claw / grabber. Often times, the customer places the bag close to their house and the hauler is not able to pick it up. The #1 complaint on Amazon is from this company's inability to pick up the dumpster bag. 

Cost Associated with the Bagster?

The Bagster service includes the purchase of the heavy duty bag at a cost of $30.00, the pick up will then cost you $250 with a weight limit of 1.65 tons or 3300 lbs in Sarasota Venice and surrounding areas. If you want to actually talk to someone and schedule the pick up of the Bagster over the phone, you will also be charged a surcharge of $8 to talk to someone! The total price for you to remove your debris or junk will be $280 if you can fit your project into the modest sized bag. Most people are under the impression that purchasing the Bagster is the all-inclusive price, no hidden fee kind of deal, only to later find out that there is an additional pick up and disposal fee. Patriot Dumpster has spoken with many unhappy customers who have set up their Bagster too far away from the curb and had then either had to move the contents from the Bagster themselves or hired someone to move the contents to the dumpster.

What if you need 2 or more dumpster bags ? 

There is an additional cost of $250 per additional bag to be picked up in the Sarasota - Manatee areas. This is where you truly see the benefits of renting a dumpster through Patriot Dumpster. It's pretty clear to see that renting a dumpster will easily benefit the residential customer. Many times a customer underestimates the amount of debris they need to get rid of and the bag easily overflows and they end up purchasing an additional bag unknowingly incurring and additional $250 fee, quickly adding up to well over $500! If your debris goes above the first included ton, it bills at $66 per additional ton and it is prorated, so you are only charged for the weight you have used meaning if your debris weighs 1 1/2 tons the charge would be $33 bringing the full cost to $348. The Bagster measures 3 cubic yards - 8 feet long, 4 feet wide and 2 1/2 feet high soft walls and is equivalent of one pick up truck load. In comparison, a 15 yard dumpster from Patriot Dumpster measures 14 feet long, 7 feet wide with 4 foot tall walls and the rear doors open for easy loading of all of your debris and holds the equivalent of 6 pick up truck loads.

Keep it mind that this is definitely not an apples to apples comparison as the Bagster holds 3 cubic yard of debris and our dumpster hold 15 cubic yards and even 20 yards of debris in our larger dumpsters. However, you will find that the pricing and hassle of the Bagster will never beat the convenience of our dumpsters.

The size of the Bagster is 8'x4'x2.5'. Because of the extremely low sides and the restrictions against overfilling the Bagster with your debris, it will be very difficult to get rid of any debris that isn't being substantially broken down. 

We have broken down the cost per cubic yard of debris to be at $93.00. 

Clearly the pick up service and costs are extremely restricted, since this is a nationally owned company, the ability to help and assist the customer isn't a priority.

We have found that once you start getting rid of junk / debris, it tends to multiply after you have the dumpster bag or Patriot dumpster. Removal of debris and junk is always contagious. It will feel great to have an uncluttered  home and property! And once you start you'll almost always find more junk to get rid of. Often times, your neighbor will have stuff to get rid of too, offer to split the cost to save even more money!
